Getting quality content for your blog

Filed under: my write up — Tags: , — admin @ 10:28 am

All Internet marketing guides stress the importance of using only quality content for the blog pages, yet, the question remains: how can one decide which is good content and which not? I simply suggest that we start from the very nature of the blog: a highly informational and personal site which tackles with subjects in a specific domain. Hence, when designing the blog, don’t make it too complex, stick to the simple structures that allow users to perform actions easily on the page. The frame should also be very simple and the eventual ads and links need to naturally blend in the content of the blog as such. Web design provides the great advantage of using similar fonts and formats, so that only some elements on the page should stand out.

Furthermore, you may have learned by now that you need to create the site content around some high-in-demand keywords that users type in the search box of the engine. The more the keywords, the higher the chances to have your blog appear in the first result pages. However, many bloggers understand keyword density the wrong way. The blog content should naturally include the keywords in an easy-to-read kind of way; a keyword density that goes higher than 2 or 3% could make the articles less appealing to the reader.

There are some tips you may consider when creating quality content for a blog. First of all, regardless of the domain and the target audience, it should be reader-friendly and even reader-oriented if it be the case. This means that even when you deal with a scientific topic, you can still keep the reader’s attention vivid since not everybody who visits your blog has a professional cultural background. Write everything in short or medium-sized paragraphs so that the information naturally flows without being hard to track in case of an interruption.

Statistics show that blogs that include links in the very article content are more successful than those who present links at the bottom of the page for instance. Inserted links allow the reader to get a puzzle-explanation of a concept or provide the opportunity to show interest for specific products or services. Furthermore, the blogs that make a happy combination of written content, pictures and videos are considered a lot more appealing to the average Internet user, and thus receive a lot more traffic. The key to being successful within the blogging system is definitely the continuous adaptation to the requests of the market.

Admit that you still care, but….

Don’t make it sound as if it’s the start of a romance. It is good to be honest. The only reason that you are making the effort to patch-up is because you care. Keep your embarrassment aside and make this clear. Behave as normal as possible. Trying to avoid that person might sound tempting but don’t. Self-respect is precious, but why connect it to an occasional mistake? However, don;t take it a step forward and invite her for a movie or a date.

Don’t use being drunk as an excuse.

Filed under: my write up — Tags: , — admin @ 11:45 pm

It is the oldest trick in the game. and no matter how much you booze you have tanked up, there has to be something in your psyche that made you hit on your crush in the first place. Don’t blame the gin or those irresponsible friends who forced you have it (lots of it actually). Stand up and keep your face straight. It takes a true man to realize one’s fault and apologize to the lady concerned.

Don’t sms always call

An sms is a rather easy way out from what you would rather verbalise. Have the good manners to call up your muse and apologise. An sms can easily be taken as a formality rather than an apology. Calling up and expressing your thoughts only shows that you are a responsible person and not the sorts who tends to shirk away from facing up to their failures.

Wrist Watch

Filed under: my write up — Tags: — admin @ 10:09 am

There are a few things in the world that makes a man or a woman the most amazing person on earth. The qualities they possess makes them an outstanding personality. Considering the type of image that you represent or based on your taste for things, you would possess a few items or accessories that may sometimes define your personality at a glance. Particularly speaking, your attire, shoes and accessories especially your Wristwatch announces your elegance and aura to everyone around you. Having the perfect watch has always been my highest priority. I mean, you can’t wear a sports watch for a black-tie event and you definitely cannot reveal your Cartier or TAG Heuer at a kiddies convention. Even though the events call for a type of attire and an entire set of haves and don’ts, it is mandatory to possess a look of your own. Look and feel are the first and foremost criteria for a wrist watch. There are various other important criteria as well, like quality, standard, reputed brand and life of the watch. When all of these mingle to form a great watch that suits your taste and style, then that would be the perfect watch for you. I have always adored TAG Heuer and its great leather wrist watches. If I have to mention any one in particular then that would be a Carrera Chronograph.

Whip up that Whipped cream

Whipped creamBe sure to chill a metal bowl, beaters or the whisk you’ll use to whip faster and more fully. If however, you don’t have timeto chill the bowl, you can immerse it in a large bowl filled with ice water and proceed as usual.

Use powdered sugar to sweeten the cream. Powdered sugar not only dissolves quickly but also helps stabilise the whipped cream because it contains comstartch.

If you accidentally over beat heavy or whipping cream so much so that it begins to turn buttery, gently stir in additional cream, 1 tablespoon at a time. Don’t beat the cream again or you’ll be right back where you began.

Remember to use a bowl that’s deep enough, keeping in mind the cream will double in volume when it’s whipped.

Decrease the instances of splattering by gradually increasing the speed of the mixer from low to high.

Spanish flavours are found predominantly in European and Mediterranean restaurants. Abroad, Peru is considered the next great foodie destination. The flavours and ingredients of Peruvian cuisine will influence restaurant menus. Also, the Pisco Sour, made with the Peruvian national spirit is said to become a hot new cocktail. As Latino flavours come to the fore, cactus, in both food and drink, will make its way to the mainstream.

Pick holes in

Filed under: my write up — admin @ 1:40 pm

To pick holes in something means to find fault with that thing. The older version of this phrase was to pick holes in a person’s coat, thus applying that the reputation of that person has been prodded upon. I personally believe that there are some people around us who are difficult to satify. It this those set of people that often find faults in our habits and practices. The primary motive behind their actions can be anything ranging from constructive criticism to plain jealousy. But all we should take from this is the positive attitude and ensure that the room for improvement that they have pointed is pursued with as much vigour and enthusiasm as always.

Recognize your habits

Filed under: health, my write up — Tags: , — admin @ 10:20 pm

Becoming an alcoholic is as easy as eating out these days. Friends seem to catch up and enjoy themselves on a round of drinks. But when the rounds become one too many, it is necessary that some kind of intervention is exercised. It is mostly the family like parents, siblings or spouse who recognise the change in habits and mannerisms of their loved ones. Constant intake of alcohol can lead to severe motor skill repairs causing frigid movements and shaking of hands and body. The person always seems on edge and can also stammer if the alcohol dependency becomes more pronounced. Alcohol consumption usually starts due to the over-demanding work schedule and pressures that the person handles during the day. But this obsession is capable of destroying one’s life.

The wait is over…

Filed under: my write up — Tags: , — admin @ 3:00 pm

Every important occasion in life is much awaited and hyped by the people involved in it. However, there are certain people, such as myself, who cannot wait for the event to occur. Be it a school outing or a family function or any festive occasion, the anxiety and expectation always robs me of my sleep most of the nights preceeding the occasion. My thoughts completely revolve around the future festival and the hopes to make the best out it. After the day ends, the much-awaited occasion gives a lot of experience and happiness to me and my friends. That is what I adore about such things, the ever-repeating cycle of wait, the experience and nostalgia.

More on myths

Filed under: General, my write up — Tags: , — admin @ 10:00 am

I researched some more and found various myths existing around us. Here is a collection of those with scientific reasons as to whether it is true or just a bogus belief.

Myth: Drink as much as water as you can. It’s healthy.

Fact: Drinking more than a recommended amount of water can make you sweat and urinate more than normal, leading to the loss of electrolytes from your body. Our kidneys produce 1 ml urine every minute and approx 1,450 ml daily. While the ideal water intake in summer is 2.5-3 litres, in winter it is 1.5-3 litres. Drinking more than the prescribed amount can lead to water intoxication aka hyper-hydration. And you thought dehydration was an issue!

Myth: For a better sleep, use a BIG pillow.

Fact: Absolutely wrong. In fact, that could be your ticket for a lifetime of pain, for big pillows can make your neck bend forward leading to cervical spondylosis. The ideal size of your pillow depends on the bulk of your upper body or the roundness of your upper spine. If you’re thin, get a thin pillow.

Myth: You should not drink water while you exercise, however thirsty you maybe.

Fact: It’s extremely important to drink enough water before, during and after exercise, because muscles are 85-90 percent water. If you don’t replenish the water, they won’t function well and your workout won’t be as intensive as it should be. Feeling thirsty while exercising is a sign for dehydration. Sip plain water while you work out. However, don’t mix glucose or electrolytes in the water, for those can wreak havoc on your blood glucose levels.

Myth: Eating fish with yoghurt causes white patches on the skin.

Fact: Pretty often, fish is marinated in yoghurt before it is cooked. So, there’s no evidence to support this myth. And there’s nothing fishy at all about having fish and yoghurt together.

Myth: Asthmatics should not have yogurt and rice.

Fact: No scientific evidence confirms this myth. In fact, consuming yoghurt at night stimulates production of serotonin, a sleep-inducing hormone.

Myth: Don’t take painkillers during your period, no matter how bad the cramps!

Fact: OMG! It’s nice to be brave but if the cramps are beyond your tolerance level, don’t feel shy to pop that painkiller. However, if the pain doesn’t subside, meet a doc, ASAP.

It would do you good to remember that not everything is a health myth but separate fact from fiction before making it a maxim.
